Male-pattern hair loss is driven by DHT, and the treatments with the strongest evidence — finasteride and minoxidil — both need either a prescription or proper guidance to use well. Topical peptides like GHK-Cu are popular, but the prescription route is what the clinical data supports.
The doctor-guided path evaluates your pattern, prescribes finasteride and/or minoxidil, and ships them to your door — a different path from the topical-peptide (GHK-Cu) route covered elsewhere on this site.
How the prescription route works
After an online intake, a licensed clinician prescribes finasteride (oral or topical), minoxidil, or a combination, and a pharmacy ships them. Finasteride blocks the DHT that drives follicle miniaturization; minoxidil extends the growth phase — they work best together and take 3-6 months to show results.
This is a different mechanism than the GHK-Cu the rest of this site covers: GHK-Cu is a copper peptide used topically for skin and follicle support, while finasteride/minoxidil are the clinically-proven, prescription-grade route. If you want the evidence-backed path, this is it.
