The Semax + Selank blend puts 10mg of each peptide in one vial, and the reported protocol is 1mg of each per administration. A widely circulated practitioner peptide reference lists both on the same schedule: 1mg subcutaneously in the morning, 2-3 days a week, for 8 weeks on and 8 weeks off. With 2mL of bacteriostatic water in a 10mg/10mg vial, one 20-unit draw holds 1mg of Semax and 1mg of Selank.
Each peptide has its own Russian clinical and laboratory record. The combination does not. No published study has given the two together, and nobody has reported how they hold up mixed in one vial. Below are the reported numbers, the split-dose math, and the evidence behind each half.
Research-context information only. Semax and Selank are research peptides. Protocols, doses, and reactions reported below come from published research and self-reported community sources. This article reports what has been documented, not what should be done. Consult a licensed physician for personal medical decisions.
Semax is a synthetic analog of the ACTH(4-10) fragment (Dolotov et al., 2006, PMID 16996037). Selank is a synthetic analog of tuftsin, an immune peptide (Slominsky et al., 2017, PMID 28702721). Both are seven amino acids long and were developed in Russia.
Semax vs Selank: What Each Half Is
| Semax | Selank | |
|---|---|---|
| Parent molecule | ACTH(4-10) fragment | Tuftsin |
| Main research theme | Nootropic and neuroprotective; studied in acute ischemic stroke | Anxiolytic; studied in generalized anxiety disorder |
| Mechanism reported | Raised BDNF and its receptor trkB in rat hippocampus (Dolotov et al., 2006) | Shifted expression of GABA-signaling genes (Volkova et al., 2016, PMID 26924987) |
| Shared finding | Inhibits enkephalin-degrading enzymes in human serum (IC50 10 µM) | Inhibits the same enzymes (IC50 20 µM) (Kost et al., 2001, PMID 11443939) |
Community sources commonly describe the pairing as "one for focus, one for calm." The enzyme study shows the two also overlap on one pathway, so the blend is not purely two separate mechanisms.
Semax / Selank Blend Dosing Table
Match your vial size below — reconstitution and dose math update automatically.
| Dose | Syringe units | mL volume | Schedule |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 mg + 1 mg | 20 units | 0.2 mL | 2-3x/week SubQStandard |
| 0.5 mg + 0.5 mg | 10 units | 0.1 mL | 2-3x/week SubQLower (community-reported) |
Math assumes U-100 insulin syringes (1 mL = 100 units). Verify your syringe matches before injecting. Round half-units to the nearest visible mark.
Quick Reference: Practitioner-Reported Protocol
| Parameter | Reported value |
|---|---|
| Amount per draw | 1mg Semax + 1mg Selank (practitioner reference lists 1mg of each) |
| Route | Subcutaneous injection (community-reported for lyophilized vials) |
| Timing | AM |
| Frequency | 2-3 days per week |
| Cycle | 8 weeks on / 8 weeks off |
| Vial | 10mg Semax + 10mg Selank (20mg total) |
| Reconstitution | 2mL bacteriostatic water → 5mg/mL of each |
| Community-described draw | 20 units on a U-100 insulin syringe |
| Storage | Refrigerated after mixing; community sources describe use within 28 days |
These values match the single-peptide protocols in our Semax dosing guide and Selank dosing guide. They come from the Jay Campbell / Hunter Williams practitioner cheat sheet, which lists both peptides at the same dose and schedule, not from a trial of the blend.
Cycling Details
The 2-3 days a week, 8-weeks-on and 8-weeks-off pattern is the practitioner reference's schedule for each peptide on its own. The blend inherits it because the two share identical lines in that reference. No study has tested a cycle length for either peptide by injection, or for the pair. The Russian clinical studies used short hospital or outpatient courses of the single peptides, not repeating cycles.
Routes of Administration
- Subcutaneous (SC): the route community sources describe for reconstituted lyophilized blend vials.
- Intranasal: the route used for both peptides in Russian clinical practice, which is why so much of the published work involves nasal administration. Some vendors sell Semax and Selank combinations as ready-made nasal sprays, a different product from the injectable vial.
- Intramuscular: rarely described in community sources for this blend.
The vial's concentration is set for injection math. Reported nasal and injected amounts are not interchangeable, and the clinical nasal doses below should not be read as injection doses.

Reconstitution Quick Reference
| Vial | BAC Water | Concentration (each peptide) | 1mg + 1mg | 0.5mg + 0.5mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10mg/10mg | 2mL | 5mg/mL Semax + 5mg/mL Selank | 20 units | 10 units |
| 10mg/10mg | 4mL | 2.5mg/mL Semax + 2.5mg/mL Selank | 40 units | 20 units |
The community-circulated arithmetic: 10mg ÷ 2mL = 5mg/mL for each peptide. 1mg ÷ 5mg/mL = 0.2mL, or 20 units, and the same draw delivers 1mg of the other peptide, because the ratio is fixed at 1:1. By the same arithmetic, a 10mg/10mg vial holds ten 1mg + 1mg draws. Community notes describe swirling gently rather than shaking, then refrigerating at 2-8°C.
These figures report how community sources describe the arithmetic. They are not a preparation instruction. Vendors label these vials for research use only; the schedules on this page are community- and practitioner-reported, not labeled directions.
